Iain Oughtred Ness Yawl Sailing Boat

If you are looking at this you know more than me about boats, especially wooden, wind powered ones so please excuse my terminology, what i know is this boat sorry yacht/yawl was built to a design by Iain Oughtred his designs are world famous there is over 100 of his Ness yawls in Australia some in Canada and world wide, best you google it in case i get something wrong,what i can tell you about this one is it was constructed in 1995/6 by a retired commercial sea captain/engineer i have paperwork it was surveyed 5th June 1996 on completion she was given a value of £5000 excluding trailer. Then went on to be used very lightly for a short time before being put into dry storage, the owner passed away in this period and the boat has only recently seen the light of day as said i have no knowledge of boats but i can appreciate the condition of this one the hull looks excellent really nice condition needs a light refurb some lacquer is flaking so needs light sanding and a coat of good quality yacht varnish it looks quite complete the only thing that stands out is no sails the seating is there the duckboards are there the rudder and helm are in great condition and a large heavy galvanised drop keel in nice condition the masts and spars are there they need a clean and varnish this yawl needs a very very light restoration it comes with a 2 piece trailer all you need is a trailer board with a long lead.this is not a dinghy over 20 feet with the rudder 21 feet with trailer viewing is recommended we are retired and normally about 24/7 thanks for looking study the pictures i have tried my best any questions please askOn 21-Oct-19 at 14:24:58 BST, seller added the following information: sorry just like to point out there is only one seat board showing in the photos the other three are present and in good condition they slot in and are secured with one bolt each which i do not have
