Jaguar 21 Sailing Yacht

Here is my Jaguar 21 Trailer Sailer - Solitaire. She is around 40 years old, not sure exactly, but sail number 68. I bought her a year ago having only sailed a little in dinghies, predominantly a Mirror. So I wouldn't call myself an expert in any way. I have sailed her almost totally single handed and she is very easy to sail.

Just like a big dinghy in fact. She's given me the confidence to move to a bigger boat which is why she is now sadly up for sale. She is a fractional rigged sloop with adjustable backstay. Her shrouds are in good condition. She has 4 berths, and you could sleep 2 adults and 2 children, but you wouldn't really have room for any kit with that many sleeping.

She'll comfortably sit 4 in the cockpit and around the removable table in the cabin. Solitaire is a lifting keel version of the Jaguar 21, and you can lock the keel fully up and fully down. You could leave the keel in any other position because of the friction on the winch, but I didn't do this. You can see the keel housing on the photo inside the cabin. In the last year I have replaced the main and genoa sheets and the roller furling halyard, boom vang and fender lines and there are 5 new fenders (7 fenders in total).

The outboard is a Mercury 5hp four stroke and is almost as good as new as you can see from the photos. It had 10 hours on it when I bought her last year, I replaced the impeller, and I've put probably another 30 to 40 hours on it motoring down the Hamble into the Solent. She is currently moored on the Hamble but will be placed on the galvanised, braked trailer (included) at the end of March 2020. There is a roller furling Genoa,Main sail,Stack pack with lazy jacks,Spinnaker (Never had it out of the bag. Too much for me to cope with single handed),Anchor, chain and warp,Navigation lights,Navman VHF7200 which is linked to..Navman Trackfish 6500 GPS,Clipper Depth - comes to life but needs looking at because the menus all work but it beeps all the time and doesn't read true.

Probably needs the hull sensor fixing,Compass,Leisure battery new 2019 - with isolator switch,Battery charger new 2019,Shore power including lead,Fire blanket,Fire extinguisher - not tested but showing in the green on the valve,Porta potty - never used by me,Electric bilge pump,Manual bilge pump,Galvanised single axle braked road trailer,2 x Gibb manual winches and winch handle,5HP Mariner 4 stroke outboard,Fuel tank with gauge and priming fuel line.Origo 3000 twin burner hob (Parafin).Small stainless sink.Manual drinking water pump.Built-in drinking water tank - needs an internal disinfect - easily accessible.Built-in cabin lights off the leisure battery.Pulpitt and pushpit in good condition,Crewsaver horseshoe buoy - new 2019A mixture of new and old lines. She's about 40 years old, so there are scratches and bumps that could be cleaned up. I don't know how old the sails are. They work fine, but you couldn't call them new. I'll happily answer any questions.
