Thank you for looking the details of my 1977 Jaguar 27 Sailing Yacht.I am re-relisting for those of you who keep a regular eye on classifieds board, she has been list edin the classified adds before on classifieds board but now shes up on an auction. That means this is an absolute bargain of an opportunity not to be missed. As the new sailing season is just around the corner I know you are thinking it would pretty good to get out on the water this year, and what better way than this budget busting bargain.Don't delay make put in a bid today ! She is a lovely 27 foot long family cruiser that is easy to sail and has made a great first yacht, the purchase of a new yacht is the reason for sale. With plenty of space in the cockpit and well provisioned cabin this Jaguar ticks pretty much every box needed for day sailing or longer overnight breaks.
The huge cabin hatch gives wonderful light and access to the interior and is fantastic to have opened when moored. As a testament to the design of the Jaguar 27 they are still in use by many flotilla companies in the Med. And elsewhere today. The 13hp Yanmar 2GM diesel engine is very economical and plenty strong enough to punch through the waves when going straight in to a F6. Her sails are not in the first flush of youth but have plenty of cruising life left in them.
The furling genoa is easy to use and can be pulled in by hand, the main has 2 point slab reefing. She also has a spinnaker. Below decks she has six births, although that might be a bit of a squeeze but takes 4 with ease. There is a forward double "V"birth, 2 very long single births and the dining table converts in to another double. She has a manual water system in to the sink with cupboard and drawer space below.
12v lights (mostly LED) through out. Since owning her I have replaced the pump on the heads (sea toilet), replaced the cooker with a gimbaled 2 burner Plastimo Gulf 2500 hob. Replaced all flexible gas pipe. Installed a Rutland 504 Wind generator with split charger for both batteries and installed a Nasa Clipper Wind and mast head unit. A white mast head anchor light and additional 12v outlet with USB and voltmeter.
Replaced the VHF aerial and serviced the engine. Regular Anti fouling and anode replacement. To prepare her for auction I have installed a brand new Engine battery. She has been looked after and would make an ideal first family cruiser for those on a tight budget.
