Kittiwake 14

Kittiwake 14 ft yawl in need of further restoration. The builders specification is here https://www.kittiwakeboats.co.uk/kittiwake14.htm A simulated clinker dinghy with a gaff yawl rig, complete with all spars and sails including main,jib, staysail and topsail. The sails would benefit from a valet but are usable. I belive all the standing rigging is present but running rigging will need replacing. The hull needs some finishing as when I bought her she had some closed cell foam bonded in which was water logged.

This has been removed and a new cockpit sole needs making to include mast steps. The spars have been coated in some sort of wood preserver and need stripping back and varnishing. She could go back on the water with a quick fix and then be tidied up over the winter to the condition she deserves.Kittiwake 14's are not often for sale and make strong money when they are advertised. This represents an opportunity to buy one for a competative price and then tidy up to your own requierments.The main jobs to do are re-glassing the bouyancy tanks, making up bearers for the sole boards and general varnish work to her mahogany trim and thwarts. She is sat on a galvanised breakback trailer which had new bearings less than 300 miles ago.
