Leisure 20 Bilge Keel, 4 Berth Sailing Boat. Plymouth Area.

Leisure 20 bilge keel sailing boat Moored at Forder, Saltash (the cornwall side of Plymouth) on a tidal drying mooring that costs £130p.a. And is paid up to April 2021. Moorings cannot be sold or transferred, but a new owner could easily apply for a mooring through the village mooring association. In any event, I will be giving my mooring up when the boat is finally sold and moved off. The boat itself comes with a full inventory including:Reliable 4 stroke Mercury 6hp long shaft outboard - this housed in a cockpit well, which is the best place to have an engine in my opinion!

Fish finder, GPS, solar panel, internal lights, fenders, small intex inflatable dinghy, compass, handheld vhf, 2 12volt batteries. It has a roller furling genoa and a mainsail with a single reefing point. Both sails are in good condition, with no rips or tears. Mainsail cover is faded but sound. I renewed the running rigging last year and the standing rigging is in good order.

The boat is safe to sail now and has a very stable and safe feel to it. A good sized cockpit, 5 foot of headroom internally and a shallow draft, with generous beam, makes this a fantastic coastal cruiser ideal for the creeks and estuaries. This is a great little boat that can be used immediately. I am an experienced sailor and simply wouldn't sell a boat that was unsafe! As with every boat, I have ever seen or been on, you will find plenty of little jobs that you can spend an enjoyable hour or two tackling.

I have installed extra led lighting and an extra big leisure battery with associated wiring and solar panel charging. My next jobs, were I keeping the boat, would be to wire up the navigation lights and tidy up the inside wood trim on the forward berth. The stanchion base on the starboard side has a leak, so that needs re-sealing or, if you are keen, removing and re-bedding. Why am I selling? I have now moved up country to Somerset, so just don't use it.
