2007 Luxury Canal Boat - Semi Trad - 58ft - Reverse Layout Fitted Out With Princess Yacht Materials BSS Certificate Until 14th June 2020 Out Of The Water Full Survey Undertaken 13th April 2016 Before describing this fantastic canal boat, I wanted to let you know why we are selling. The reason for the sale is we are planning our bigger new build boat! We purchased "The Waltz" In April 2016 after months of trying to find the right boat for our requirements. This boat ticked all of our boxes at the time, so we had a full out of the water survey undertaken and went ahead with the purchase. We spent a few months before buying our boat researching marina's and we decided to moor at Bosworth Marina for many reasons and we are very pleased that we did.
The price of the boat includes the mooring at Bosworth Marina paid in full up until April 2018. I have spoken to the management and as long as the new owner meets their requirements, then there shouldn't be any reason why the new owner shouldn't be able to stay there if they wish. Bosworth Marina is a fantastic luxury marina and I understand there is quite a big a waiting list for moorings. Of course you can take the boat anywhere you like but the mooring can be included for free until April 2018 if you wish. OK the boat.
We fell in love with the boat as she is very different. The shell is excellent being built by Liverpool boats and the interior has a lot of materials from Princess Yachts, as the fit out was undertaken by one of their engineers. It is very unusual but in our opinion very luxurious. The thick oak floors, polished walls and padded faux suede ceiling panels, really make this boat something special and certainly not your usual canal boat fit out. The walk through shower room is also very spacious and looks very classy with the black and white chequer board floor tiles.
The boat had a standard 4ft bed which we replaced with a 5ft king size bed. This was achieved by adding a 1ft wide fold up piece of bed with click down legs. We then added 2 new 2' 6" mattresses making a very comfortable King Size bed and importantly quick to put up and down. Both mattresses are almost new with very little use and have never been used without mattress covers. The layout worked very well for us.
Its a reverse layout, leading to a lounge area and kitchen. This leads into the walk through shower room and on into the bedroom. The bedroom has a very large wardrobe which comes in very handy as storage is always at a premium on a canal boat. Through the bedroom and there is a lovely room which I used as an office and its also a great place for having drinks and playing cards! From here you go out through the front doors.
Since purchasing the boat we have had the following work undertaken: New toilet macerator pump fitted including all new hoses and air filter etcNew Pram CoverFull service including new drive plate and belts4 X new leisure batteriesNew water pumpNew cooker thermostatElectrical system checkedMorso multi fuel stove, new glass fitted, serviced and swept We also purchased a new sofa bed from the Sofa Bed Barn The main points about the boat are as follows: The Waltz is a 58’ all mild steel semi-traditional style narrowboat, built by Liverpool Boats and fitted out in 2007. It has a 24 volt / 240 volt electrical system. The hull was blacked in 2015 with a 2 pack system. I understand therefore it should not need re-blacking for another 2-3 years due to the blacking system used. The engine is an Isuzu Marine 42 four cylinder diesel.
The gearbox is a PRM 150. The stern gear assembly is a Vetus water lubricated cutlass bearing arrangement. The inverter is a Mastervolt 24V/1500 The Battery Charger is a Mastervolt 24V/ 50Amp Central heating and hot water is supplied by an Eberspacher D5W Diesel System Hot water twin coil 240V Calofier There is a Candy Aquamatic washing machine fully installed There are also a bank of Solar Panels that work very well indeed! Everything works as it should. I could continue describing the boat for hours but I think it is best to view if possible.
All in all this is a fantastic canal boat in excellent condition. Everything is working as it should and could be used for continuous cruising immediately or simply enjoyed for holidays etc. Please feel free to contact me either through classifieds board or calling 0phone. I will be happy to answer your questions or make arrangements for you to view.
