Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE Private Sale Much loved Macgregor 26x 2003 for sale We have just had this boat professionally antifouled and serviced by Trout’s Boatyard in Topsham in anticipation of the season, however, we have since secured a full berth in a marina so can change from this popular trailer sailer to larger boat. These boats are a fantastic versatile boat for river or coastal sailing and strong motoring where necessary- there is some criticism of their sailing performance but we were pleasantly surprised how she behaved and they have sold over 5000 with a strong following and resale. Nothwithstanding a few tinkering jobs I’ll mention below, she is ready to go and has been great fun for our family reintroduction to sailing in Torbay last Season. I await interior photos, however, all cushions have been laundered and we just need to refit. The trailer has had new wheels and tyres and has transported the boat from Scotland to Torquay and around and about with ease.The engine is the original Yamaha 50hp which is in great condition, under the cover it looks new and I have no reason to doubt the ~250 recorded hours which is supported by clean oils throughout. The Yamaha Main agent has just completed a full carb refresh with ultrasonic cleaning, tune up and replacement fuel pump so she is absolutely sweet and powerful. There are two 25l remote fuel tanks included. Documents – a packed folder of all invoices from new, including brochures and manuals for all extras. Survey – 2016 available just collected from the boatyard inspection so all in good order.Sails – Perfectly useable – I recall a batten or two is missing but very easy to replace. Instruments – We have fitted new NASA wireless wind and speed/depth log – the boatyard has just fitted the through hull wheel which may need the wire tracking through tidily. There is some navigation equipment and a GPS enabled VHF Radio. We ignored the fitted equipment and used an ipad with Navionics which I would recommend over fixed installs. I've priced the boat below others and a little above a recent auction of a similar boat unused for years and missing sails - very good considering the recent boatyard invoice.Any questions please ask.
