MACGREGOR 26X Name “Goaithe” ( Irish gaelic for “of the wind “) Year 2000 These boats are fantastic versatile boats suitable for any situation; they can float in less than 300mm of water, which is ideal for creek exploring. Watch the following clips which show just how versatile these boats are. https://www.youtube.com/watch? V=HDKfX6d4qHk https://www.youtube.com/watch? V=SI0GumzxYt4 They take on just over half a ton of water (through a control valve accessible from the cockpit) as ballast for sailing, which can be drained whilst the boat is under low engine speeds, or when towing.. The water ballast system makes capsize impossible, and the sealed flotation system renders the boat unsinkable. When the water ballast is drained and the twin rudders (which allow great manoeuvrability) and centre board are retracted it becomes a speed boat capable of around 24 mph, making water ski-ing an enjoyable alternative to sailing.
