The engine has been well cared for and lightly used, it shows minor marks and scratches that you would expect from a used motor.
Description: 

This is a Mariner 40hp two stroke long shaft outboard with electric start. It is in very tidy condition, the boat has only be used on rare occasions and kept out of the water on a trailer. This is the 2 cylinder model that dates from 1997 and is the rugged simple engine favoured by the RNLI and similar work and fishing boats because of their simplicity. Similar engines are currently still available but only available to professionals. This engine will come with the control unit also a spare prop which is unused.

This model is the the manual trim model which is easy with this motor as it is relatively light for its size. The oil tank is under the hood. I am upgrading to a four stroke with power trim. The engine will be ready soon to remove from the boat. At the moment the engine is still connected up so that anyone interested can see it running.

If you are looking for this type of engine in tidy condition then this could be the outboard for you.

Good Afternoon, If the engine is still available could you answer the following questions please? - Is the battery included and if so, what condition is it in? - Can you confirm that the control leads are fixed to the LHS of the engine head? The reason I ask because the last engine I saw had the leads on the RHS which will not work on my boat. - Does the engine have a manual start as well as an electric start and if so, has it been used at all?
