Maritime 21 Fishing Boat

Maritime 21 looking for a good home! As I am due to retire early next year and looking to down size, I have this really unique Maritime 21 for sale. Built in Teignmouth in 1988. First launched in 2006, so effectively only 14 years of use. If you're in the market for a Maritime 21 you simply won't find another one launched in 2006.

I have full documentation to support this and am only the second owner, so this is a rather unique craft! It was around the, late 80s that I believe Humphries Boatyard stopped their production of the Maritime, having built around 400 for a mix of pleasure and commercial uses. I have all the sale invoices, manuals etc from new. The reason for the 16 year hiatus from manufacture to launch was the first owner fitted a wheelhouse himself and didn't like the first version so re did the whole thing. I have full invoice proof of dates transferred from manufacturer to storage near London 1988 and onward to launch in Suffolk 2006.

The Maritime is a very safe and capable sea boat with a huge high sided deck for fishing. The space from cabin to stern bench is some 9 feet long! Fishes 3-4 in comfort more at a push. There are two bunks in the forward wheelhouse and ample storage, the cabin is about 10 feet from door to bow. Fitted with Hydraulic Steering she is a delight to handle.

She has a full electrics package: new 2019 Cobra GPS radio and aerial, 2019 Raymarine Plotter/fish finder with NAVIONICS card Falmouth to Chichester (no transducer fitted) a Hummingbird fish finder. New Control Lever fitted last week. Stern gear professionally refurbed, Engine Alignment Adjusted and Coupling, Cutlass Bearing and Tube all renewed August 2020. Two batteries with isolater switch. Twin electric bilge pumps, one auto, one manual.

Lots of storage in cuddy. Yanmar 27hp Bulletproof Diesel Engine just serviced, uses 2.5 litres an hour at 6-7 knots gives her a range of around 120 miles with her 42 litre tank. Engine runs very smoothly and uses no oil. All filters, oil, belts, impeller replaced August 2020 by a professional Marine mechanic. I also have a four wheel non braked trailer, very strong, not road legal but capable of taking the boat anywhere!

Recently serviced 5hp Suzuki 4 stroke auxiliary engine. In use and on mooring South Devon. New Antifoul August 2020. I believe the asking price is very realistic given others on the market at £9-10,000 +. Open to inspection, sea trial to serious buyers.

I'm not in a rush to sell and if she doesn't make the price I shall keep her. I am also flexible price wise. Happy to sell without auxiliary, trailer etc at reduced price. There are some bits of painting to finish but paint is included, lockdown prevented us doing it all as was planned. Never the less fully usable and attracts positive comments wherever we go.

Feels very secure at sea with high freeboard and raised bow, a very dry boat in rough weather. Anchors etc. Included, ready to go fishing tomorrow.
