Maxi 80 26ft Sailing Yacht

MAXI 80 ‘Racer’ 26ft (SPINDRIFT ex maxirati) Very low price, if it doesnt sell in a month, I will keep her! The Maxi is a superbly built Swedish cruiser racer. The boat has a 44% ballast ratio with a low CG keel. The rig is 7/8ths fraction. The boat is competitive with a genoa or a non-overlapping jib.

She is a delight to sail, very stiff and responsive and very quick. The rope work is lovely all new spliced dyneema. The boat is a very tidy and ready to race. This boat is a star on the race course having won her class at Cowes and other IRC championships. The interior has a two burner gimballed Origo stove and storage.

The vessel is comfortable enough for cruising. Hull: Newly refinished hull keel and rudder. Newly stripped and polished original white gel coat. The hull is very strongly built with heavy keel stringers and solid lay up below the waterline. The keel is bolted through stainless plates in the stringers on to a keel stub, there is no flex in the joint so no rust marks!
