Engine Manufacturer: Mariner
Here we have a 70s built Microplus 502 approx. 18ft in length with a planing hull fitted with a 75hp Mariner 2 stroke auto oil injected engine. She is capable of well over 30 knots and cruises very well at 15 knots with reasonable economy. She is very stable for a small boat and will handle rough seas with the power and agility to get out of trouble if you're caught out. The hull is very sound and has the original yellow gelcoat which will polish up well.
The bottom is clean but needs antifouling. The Transom has been reinforced to take the large engine. Wooden decking & rubber mats are laid to the aft floor section with a bilge pump to drain the wash down water. Plenty of room for 2 anglers to fish comfortably with 4 rods off the back. 4 pleasure cruisers or water ski if you fitted a pole on her.
There is a 2 berth cabin with padded vinyl seating up front, tinted windows to the side. An anchor/escape hatch above. 2 Cupboards & cooking space. Under seat storage areas. 2 burner stove, fm radio cd player fitted.
The wiring and ariel for ship/shore radio and garmin gps plotter will remain. Transducers still fitted but no head units. Radar deflector & nav lights fitted. Anchor & chain & Rope included. The 75hp Mariner Engine is very clean & sound with low use over the last 3 years.
Serviced last season. Always been reliable. Electric/hydraulic engine tilt to lift the leg from the sea when not in use. 25 litre fuel tank & leisure battery included. Battery kill switch.
The engine & gear control cables were becoming stiff when she came out of the water last September so will need some attention or adjustment. No problem with engine or gearbox but controls would engage reverse gear but controls wouldn't increase revs. Fine in forward Gear. Trim tab electrics/hydraulics controls all work fine. All in all "Little Evie" is a very sound fast fisher which needs some tlc and a few new gadgets to bring her back up to scratch and make her seaworthy again without having to spend an arm & a leg ready for the start of the 2017 season.
The last 3 pics are from when she went in the water last January 2016. Ive had a lot of good times on her out of the Crouch in Essex and caught some nice fish too. She's been a pleasure to own but has to go as I now have another boat and cant upkeep both of them. I don't want to sell the engine separately as this is still a great package of a boat to someone starting out & we be a good boat for many years yet. It will serve the new buyer well.
I am happy to honestly answer any questions you may have & you are welcome to come and view "Little Evie" before bidding. The boat is currently in winter storage on a trailer at Bridgemarsh Marina, Althorne, Essex. CM36DQ for viewing. To arrange viewing please contact JOHN, the marina manager on 0phone to arrange a suitable time with him. (sensible daytime working hours PLEASE).
He will show you to the boat once on site. If you wish to make a bid after viewing, JOHN will contact me for approval or acceptance of your offer & take a deposit of £100. The balance to be paid on or before collection of the boat. YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN ROADWORTHY TRAILER TO COLLECT THE BOAT IF YOU BUY HER. PLEASE BEAR THAT IN MIND BEFORE BIDDING.
Good Luck & don't miss out folks.
