MINSTREL 680 SAILING CRUISER, c/w Road Trailer. ‘Sunseeker’ is a sloop-rigged family sailing yacht designed by John Sharp. I have only sailed her around the Poole Harbour area, the previous owner constructed her from new in 1980 and did a fine job. He later converted her from a hand winched ballasted keel system to a 12 volt electric cable system (all documented with photos). Originally moored on the River Stour, Christchurch, Sunseeker was lifted out at the end of every October.
For the past four years, I have always done likewise, but on the freshwater River Frome, near to Wareham. She has been ashore since October 2016 for refurbishment and at last Sunseeker is back on the river Frome, near to Wareham Quay and is looking splendid.
