Mirage 28 Sailing Boat / Cruiser Yacht

Mirage 28 built in 1978 powered by a Yanmar 2qm 15 hp diesel sail drive, pushing a good 6.5 knots and 7 under full sail. A good solid all rounder from Thames marine! Bilge keel (two fins) Sails area bit grotty but in good usable condition, rolling head sail and main sail, mast and rigging in good order and was replaced in 2005 Wheel steering, Morse control accelerator and gear Two battery's, engine and domestic, charged by engine providing a few days worth of 12v500watt inverter 12v battery charger Shore power with 6 240v standard socket for time ashore Boat is in good order for age and whilst bought as a project I have lived on this boat through winter and have been very happy with her, a beamy boat with 6' standing room inside she has plenty of usable space and storage, condensation was tricky a first but a little dehumidifier and venting lockers has done wonders and she remains comfortable, lots of storage under the seats and behind the seats, this boat was originally intended as a 5 berth, i have removed the gas system installed and only used house hold appliances for cooking, heating, and use portable gas for sailing over night One of the grab rails is rotten and both are due to be replaced as it's leaking in from the nuts, and the outside locker takes a bit of rain water, hoping this weekend its dry enough to reseal the suspect areas (cleats and winches) The boat runs and sails very well and with a little more elbow grease and love and she will make brilliant cruiser as she was intended for and also used for in the past, you can't go wrong for the price as something that does the same comes at a much bigger price Electrics have been re wired for peace of mind along with engine serviced and in good condition for age, battery's, oils, terminal leads, air filter, alternator and water pump belts, she runs good Fusion waterproof stereo Small hd TV Portable gas cooker (kept to household appliances for cooking in mariner)500watt inverter for days out , USB ports and two 240 sockets up to 500wattSink on foot pump with sizeable water tankSea cocks for waste tanks if sea toilet was wanted not used at this moment Boat is bonded for sea use although some tlc required Double bed folds from sofa, two berths in the fore peak sizable chart table and boat comes with an old chart plotter Northern tango is for sale now and the asking price is as seen, work being done daily to this boat, the price will go up as the work is done, currently replacing head lining in forepeak with foam backed vinyl and the main cabin will be done after we have been quoted 1500 for this work, this will most certainly be added to asking price now, view anytime we aim for hand over approx April 20th Old surveys and history of the boat been documented, engine manual and parts catalogue, lots of added extras Any questions or offers welcome, the boat is in Windermere aquatic mariner, Cumbria and current fees for the new season are approx 4000 including VAT , as a live aboard for the time being it has been a very enjoyable stay if the boat needs craning out for transportation maiden marine are the cheapest please message if interested i will be happy to answer questions, call anytime to arrange a viewing, i need this boat sold as moving country beginning May thank you for viewing Josh
