Monark 585 Scandinavian Motor Boat Project *suit Fishing River Sea* With Trailer

Monark 585 Motor boat 18ft *Project* Built in Scandinavia in approx 1980 and laid up in heavy GRP *the boat appear to be all in the original gelcoat* It has 2 berths (potentially 4 in the cockpit) with a standing headroom in the wheel house and a huge cockpit with high/safe cockpit sides She did have a 70hp outboard and went very well, she will take up to 120hp I am told. With some models having a 130hp inboard. Also included is a heavy duty fitted cockpit canvas cover worth £400 and working heavy duty Steering and a windscreen wiper. The windows are all good as is the hatch and the deck hardware. Structurally she appears sound however she is in need of a total re-fit inside.

I have stript her down and kept the floorboards and wheelhouse doors etc as templates as well as the stringer fibreglass is in place to be used as a template. I calculated materials at a few hundred pounds for brand new/quality materials. 12mm plywood throughout, that's stringers, longitudinal, floorboards and bunks, fibreglass/epoxy etc and a couple of weekends work for a semi competent DIY'er Once completed she will be a very rare and solid sea boat which looks much younger than she actually is and will be worth quiet a bit, I have seen these boats at £10,000 all up and running. The trailer in the picture which she is sat on IS NOT included and is NOT mine but may be borrowed for a £300 deposit to my friend. He towed her 130 miles on this trailer with no issue.
