OWNERS COMMENTS This motorsailer is ideal for use as a “trailer-sailer” with an all-up weight of about 2 tonnes.
I used an Isuzu “Trooper” swb t/diesel for towing with no problems. Even if you decide to place the boat on a permanent mooring, the ability to move the boat and trailer yourself using a suitable car type vehicle eliminates the need for expensive boat transporters or overwinter marina costs. Storing the boat on your drive during the winter months saves money, is secure, and greatly facilitates any DIY – never forget a tool! Removeable side guides are provided for the trailer to assist in positioning the boat when removing it from the water. The trailer is also fitted with a hub washout system - important if you sail in salt water.
A loose spare wheel(new) is provided, along with a long-lead trailer board. The mast may be lowered easily using the boom and mainsheet - after detaching the roller-furler at the drum end and slackening the shrouds.. White plastic bottlescrew covers – “boots”- -are also provided – to protect sheets and sails HAPPY MOTOR SAILING!
