Narrow Boat

Springer narrow boat 27ft with air cooled single cylinder Lombardini diesel engine.Over plated and blacked summer 2017 by the well respected Fox marina March. I hope to get a boat safety cert shortly, waiting for a retest. Two berth. The seating area at the bow converts into a large sleeping area by means of a loose fitting panel that is stored under the bow seats. There is a two burner hob with grill, next to that the stainless steel single bowl sink with small drainer and new mixer tap for hot and cold water, these have wooden hinged covers that are held up by gas struts, storage cupboards under that house the water filter.

Next is a seat with storage under. Next to that there is a food storage unit with a fold down door that doubles as a table, very useful space saving idea. On the other side is the solid fuel burner, with fuel store under.One more seat,. Then the kitchen unit / draw unit with tiled worktop, this runs into a range of shelves with storage unit above. Toilet area is, fully tiled, walls and floor, toilet is a cassette type, also the water heater is wall mounted above a unit that is also tiled, also there's a small corner unit fitted.

No shower or basin. Complete refit over the last 3 years, all new bespoke units made, new seats covers and foam, new floor boards and covering, new wall and ceiling linings, new water heater, tank, pipework, and mixer tap. All work carried out to a high standard, see photo's. Seats at bow convert into large bed. Engine is an Italian Lombardini diesel low reving, as fitted to many small agricultural tractors because of there simplicity, reliability and how economical they are, the starter motor was refurbed about 2 years ago and the cylinder head removed and valves reground at similar time , and a new exhaust made last year.

Outside: I started painting the outside last year and have finished down to the gunwales, if the weather permits I will finish all the painting, as I have already brought the paint. Although this is a boat from the mid 70's with all the work that has been carried out it is ready for many years of use. Boat is located in March Cambs very close to Fox's marina, this may be helpful if you need to move the boat by road as they have all the equipment to safely lift and load narrow boats .
