Showman is owned and operated by East Midlands Leisure Hire and is a 52ft traditional narrowboat, that has has a light and airy feel and is perfect for a couple, great for four or can sleep a family of five. Bedding is providedThe kitchen area has an under counter fridge with ice box, sink with drainer, full size gas oven, grill and hob with four rings.

Pots, pans, plates cutlery, kettle, glassware and utensils are all provided as well as washing up liquid, cleaning products and tea towels.The bathroom provides vanity sink unit, shower cubicle and camping style chemical toilet. Some of our hirer's haven't even left Shardlow! Nottingham is a 4 hour cruise away, perfect for mooring near Trent Bridge for the cricket or a night out in Nottingham.Donington Park Race track is a 5 minute bus ride away. Donington Park is famous for its motorsport including Superbikes and Cars as well as Festivals, notably Download Festival. The Motoring museum at Donington Park is well worth a visit.Shardlow is on a 24 hour bus route that goes to Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Donington Park and East Midlands Airport.Pets - A well behaved pet is welcome but they must be kept of the furniture and beds.Smoking - Strictly No Smoking on board the boat.What to expect when you arriveUpon your arrival and you have loaded your provisions onto the boat, we will give you a comprehensive hand over which last approx 1 hour. We will then accompany you down the canal to the first lock to ensure you are confident steering the boat and operating the locks, once you are happy we will wave you off!

How to Book and Payment OptionsTo enquire about availability please message us via classifieds board or call Lynne on 0phone. To secure a booking a £99 non-refundable deposit is required. Final payment is made 4 weeks prior to departure. Upon collecting the narrowboat a £250 refundable damage deposit is taken. It is refunded to you on return of an undamaged, clean boat.
