EX-HIRE DAY BOAT On of two ex-hire Day Boats taken out of service as they are being replaced with an electric launch. Built for us in 2014/15 by Outhill Boats using the smallest of the famous Nelson designs at 18ft long and 7ft wide.This boat, "Mallard" has an open cockpit with wooden bench seating either side, a stern seat with large locker containing the portable fuel tank. The cockpit is covered with a blue canvas cover with roll-up panels all round. The panels have clear 'windows' on them so the boat can be used when they are down. There are two pedestal seats under the wheelhouse roof with the helmsman's position to starboard.

There are simple remote controls for a two year old Marina 9.9hp electric start four-stroke outboard motor. The engine is regularly serviced, in good condition and the steering cable has just been replaced. There is a teak veneered wooden door to the small fore-cabin containing a V berth with 6ft legroom under the bow, under-berth storage lockers, and a Thetford toilet. The boat is certified for seven people in Cat D waters, and has a current BSS certificate valid to 17 May 2020.The boat has had many knocks and scrapes from inexperienced hirers, some which ideally should be filled to make the boat look it's best, but it is a robust, sturdy, and appealing design.
