The club does have a slipway should you wish to take the boat out of the water to transport to your preferred mooring. We do not have a trailer and therefore you would need to arrange this yourself. We will move from current mooring to a public area where you are permitted to stay for 2 weeks as a declared “continuous cruiser”. Boating is relatively inexpensive as a hobby. If you remained on continuous cruising (please research the rules for this) there would not be any mooring costs but you would still need to pay boat licensing fees from the Canal & River Trust.
This is an annual cost of approximately £650 that can be paid by monthly direct debit and must be taken out as soon as you own the boat to avoid overdue fees. For all information, look at the Canal & River Trust website. Insuring the boat is very cost effective, we pay £10 per month fully comprehensive, if you were to privately moor, the club will require third party insurance and this is approximately £6 per month. Mooring costs vary from club to club and therefore you would need to ask first to get an idea of the price. These are guide prices – please check the cost using your own circumstances and possible mooring area.Cash sale only.
