I'm sadly selling my Norman 27. I bought it a year ago to do up and live aboard, but due to also doing a van conversion I don't have the time to spend on the boat. Vino Collapso was built around 1980. She was restored to a high standard a few years ago. However someone then bought her and did their own "alterations", so she now needs work to get her back to her former glory.
She has a BSC until May 2021. She has a 15hp Mariner outboard, which runs well. We spent two chilled weeks bringing her up from Rugby to Derby, she never missed a beat, we had so much fun on her! She has been moved regularly since then due to being a CCer and also just for fun! The cover has a hole which needs repair but does not affect use.
She has a shoreline 240v, this is untested as I've not had anywhere to plug it in! The aft cabin has a bench seat which can be slept on as a single, or it can be converted into two single beds, or a double bed. The forward cabin has a v diner bench with a table, and this converts to a large double bed. There is a side seat which could sleep a child up to about 7 years old. There is a cupboard space and a heads room.
The door of which can be closed in two positions, giving a larger dressing area. The kitchen white goods are quality items. There is a Smev cooker (working), a hob which has the safety cut out (working), and a large fridge with freezer box at the top (untested). The sink has a pull out tap that has spray or pour settings. There is a Morco boiler fitted.
This will need attention as when I turned the hot tap on water leaked out of the boiler, so I've been only using the cold supply. She has an Eberspacher D2 fitted. This is untested as the controller is damaged. She has recently had a new battery. She had a couple of leaking windows which I have repaired.
I believe these are now sorted but typically it hasn't rained since I did the last ones! However I did pour several buckets of water over and nothing came in. I also repaired/replaced loose and broken items on the roof and sides, some of which had been leaking, but have been water tight since. Some of the wood panelling in the cabin needs replacement due to either water damage or what looks like having been snapped trying to remove them! However they would be useful as patterns to cut replacements so I've left them all as I found them.
Also the previous owner has been a bit slap happy with dark coloured varnish in a couple of places! The canopy holds the water out, but will need replacing due to being old, repaired, and also it appears to have shrunk. This means the windscreen isn't sitting in its correct position. This does go into place correctly when you remove the canopy though so once a new canopy is fitted that will solve the windscreen position too. The exterior could do with a repaint as it is worn and flaked in places.
Also the rubbing strake needs attaching in a couple of places. There is loads of paperwork and also photos of the original restoration, showing how nice she really looked. I am sure with some work she will be as beautiful again. Payment strictly by bank transfer or we can meet at the bank and put cash into my account. Sorry to have to stipulate this but unfortunately once bitten twice shy.
Payment to be received in full before the boat will be signed over to you. Boat is sold as seen. Currently moored south of Derby Dog not included
