"ocean Pirate" 40ft Offshore Motor Cruiser Less Engines. Round Britain Race Boat

Ocean Pirate is a 40' aluminium hull offshore cruiser with marine ply coachroof and closed wheelhouse. Built 1968 by Brooke Marine Lowestoft and unique in that she is the only boat that has competed in two of the three Round Britain Offshore Powerboat races that have been held - 1969 and 2008 - and gone all the way round on her keel both times. The engines that were installed for the race in 2008 have now been removed to fit in another boat and so she is being sold as a project to refit but all other equipment is still installed and included in price, ie Raymarine E80 and E120 plotters, digital radar, VHF radios, 4.5 KW generator, Firetrace automatic fire extinguisher system, bowthruster, shafts, seals, propellers, fenders, warps, flares, etc, etc. She was MCA coded Category 2 - 60 miles from safe haven for six persons and can be again with one inspection. If wanted, there are two Cummins 504 naturally aspirated V8 engines with choice of gearboxes available by separate sale that would fit this boat and which would achieve about 20knots maximum.

Engines can be fitted where boat presently situated - Brooke Industrial Park Lowestoft - or removed by road or towed by sea. In 2015 I took the hull back to almost bare metal and built up with high build primer and then two-pack finishing coat and have now added a couple of pictures to show the hull in preparation and primer.
