Pearly Miss 1960 Aluminium Classic Speed Boat

This is our restored aluminium-hulled, fibre-glass-decked Pearly Miss speed boat from around 1960. The timber transom and seats have been rebuilt in varnished marine ply and it has been fitted with a 1997 Johnson 9.9 hp outboard model BJ10FRELUA mounted on a new CMC PT35 power tilt and trim. The hull is designed for up to 40 hp engines and the power-tilt trim is for up to 35 hp. The engine was serviced in April 2016 and little used since, but starts first time and is quiet and economical. For an extra £400 we have the original Johnson Seahorse 18 hp, also in good running order but not as quiet or economical!

The boat also has a new leisure battery, 30 litre fuel tank, seat cushions, steering controls, light/flag pole, cleats, fenders, oars, rowlocks, cover and trailer rollers. Front seat back folds flat for sunbathing/rowing and rear seat back locks in place for security. Accommodates up to six people. The hull is light yet solid and long-lasting – Hobbs of Henley still run a fleet of Pearly Miss hire boats. Everything is in good working order and ready for your classic boating experience this summer!
