Phantom 16 Powerboat, Mercury 100 Outboard, Alloy Trailer,extensive Restoration!

Up for sale is my Phantom 16 powerboat in great condition including a Mercury 100 ELPTO outboard - Marine Engineer owned and maintained to an excellent standard. New Job forces sale.This is a fast Boat capable of 50 MPH and isn't for the faint of heart but if your looking for a fantastic handling and quick little boat this is for you. The Phantom design is steeped in powerboat racing history and has been proven as a very competitive boat raced in many classes so proves its worth. The boat has undergone extensive work in 2013 by myself and help from experienced boat builders to replace the transom and entire floor. All of the floor has been re-fibreglassed and Flo-coated too give a clean and tidy look.The boat was painted professionally (see photo of boat in booth) in metallic blue before being completely rewired for the Mercury engine including rev counter, temp gauge, volt gauge, water pressure gauge, and speedometer.

There is an automatic bilge pump and a Avon 85Ah leisure battery also installed. Along with the refurbishment there was a new steering system and new control cables installed and set up with the engine. The boat has an anchor, chain, and rope stowed in the bow. The engine is a early 90's (I will have to check exact year) Mercury 100 two stroke which was bought and installed by myself a few years ago. The engine is in great condition and I have taken a lot of time to make it as good as it possibly can be.

I have serviced it every year including new impeller, gear oil, thermostat, and spark plugs. Plus regular greasing and cleaning, and flushed after every use without fail since my ownership! Since owning the engine I have carried out the following--Carburettors cleaned, balanced, and tuned.-Converted to premix so no oil injection to fail unexpectedly costing £££'s-Electrical connections all cleaned and greased.-Flywheel refurbished with new magnets.-Gearbox driveshaft seal carrier replaced.-New engine mounts and overhauled yoke and steering tube assembly.-Overhauled trim system including rebuilt motor and replacement seals.-New s-s tilt tube-Painted cowls, new decals, and painted leg, saddle, and trim unit. The trailer is a 2011 Gullwing Alloy Multi roller trailer in excellent condition. All bearings sealed.

It had never been dunked when I purchased it! I have always cleaned everything down. The trailer is aluminium so much lighter than any other on the market and all parts are readily available.Photos of the Interior to follow as this is undergoing a bit of tidying for the sale as its something that was never finished off when I initially restored the boat but includes the cobra Imola pro fibreglass bucket seats, and a freshly upholstered moulded rear bench seat. I can't pick fault with much but the rubbing strake is tired and has some damage around the bow. The boat must be seen to fully appreciate it.
