Plymouth Pilot 18 Grp Fishing Boat

Plymouth Pilot 18 GRP fishing boat ‘Toby’ for sale. Used each Spring and Summer for potting and rod fishing. Very stable sea boat for it’s size, with 1’6” draft. Has been on a mooring here in Lyme Regis for past 7 years. She is now winterised at home see photo.

Can be seen running on the hard here in Lyme Regis. Full tank of fuel. Original mouldings are white hull, brown deck and cabin. Previous owner (Exmouth) painted deck and cabin blue and hull repainted white. Then we repainted the whole lot white.

Really needs a coat of paint everywhere (except the bilges which are fine) and anti-foul. Hence price. Engine is Yanmar 2QM15 inboard. Electric start, raw water cooled engine, probably getting on for 20 years old but is very reliable and basic to service. Well engineered engine with spares widely available in the UK.

Still have original starting handle and toolkit. Auxiliary bracket for outboard. Fuel lines replaced about 5 years ago. New genuine Yanmar mixing elbow 2 years ago. Oil changed each year.

New Air filter. Replaced cooling system anodes a couple of years ago. Electric and manual bilge pumps. Starting electrics stripped out and replaced 5 years ago, now quite basic system - currently no lights or comms etc etc. One recently new battery (with switching for two).

She has no sealed buoyancy as I pulled the sealed plywood sole and replaced with marine ply loose laid to allow full access and ventilation to the bilges. Remote throttle and engine stop astern. Hardwood tiller steer, I have the original wheel and steering system in my workshop with some other bits which all go with the boat. Mooring and tender not included. Trailer available separately.
