Featured Refinements: Cruiser
Quest is a 32ft cruiser stern narrowboat built in 1991 by the highly regarded Mike Heywood. At 32ft Quest is an ideal size for someone looking to start a new adventure on the canal network. The not too big not too small size also make Quest a great weekend boat for a more seasoned boater. Enter quest at the stern you step onto the spacious cruiser deck. This space is large enough to accommodate a handful of people whilst cruising but not so large that you sacrifice cabin space.
A lightweight but sturdy checker plate deck panel provides easy and open access to the Beta 30 engine, which was only fitted in 2014. Moving inside Quest through the central double doors you have the shower/toilet space to your right. This cleverly designed space may look cramped at first glance but opening the door and to door the the wardrobe oppose doubles the space whilst maintaining privacy. The optimisation of space is a theme that runs the length of Quest, making the most of every inch of its 32ft length. The open plan cabin starts with a 4 burner gas hob, a gas oven and a 12v fridge on the port side.
Opposite is the sink unit with mixer tap and plenty of storage cupboards. Further on is a fixed sofa which converts into a single berth, with storage shelves opposite. The front is then completed with a sofa spanning the width of Quest which then converts into a double birth. Above this sofa is also a set of central double doors and hatch giving access to the foredeck. Materials: Built in 1991 by Mike Heywood Steel hull, deck and superstructure.
