Restored Wooden Vintage 1930's River Boat 10h Mercury 15.4ft

Restored last season & then used on the river thame's. I have replaced all of the topsides in expensive marine ply. The transom has been replaced with 25mm marine ply. The hull is fibreglass over wood. I have laid additional fibreglass to the hull, transom & the interior fixings.

This is a very solid dry boat. All the wood has had 5 coats of varnish applied & the hull has just had 2 fresh coats of international paint. The entire inside/bilges were painted in grey bilge paint. This is a 2 berth boat, the interior has been painted in white marine paint & wood has all been coloured & varnished. Carpet was laid last year.

This has interior lights. The door is lockable.I have use synthetic teak for the decks & inside. The seats are new with lots of adjustment, the rear seat is in matching blue material. The boat comes with a Bimini which works well in both sun & rain. Easy to put up & take down.

Fenders, ropes and mooring equipment is all supplied. A leisure 12V battery is fitted which operates the bilge pump, interior & Navigation lights. The outboard runs a dream & is pull start but being a 2 stroke starts very easy. It is quiet & economical. It has more than enough power for the river or tidal rivers.

I replaced the impeller & all of the impeller housing and seals. It has had new spark plugs & gearbox oil. It ticks over very well. Used it last weekend & started & ran perfectly. I always run the engine out of fuel after every run to ensure carbs are kept clean & fuel is changed so it does not go off.. cut out on engine & on hand throttle control.

Trailer has just had new bearings on bearing buddy's, it also has new suspension units & a new very sturdy Axle. Wheels & tyres are good. A new winch was fitted & it comes on rollers making the boat really easy to launch and recover. I do this on my own no problem. Comes with sturdy blue cover that fits into place using push studs I have spent a fortune and put a serious amount of man hours into this boat and am very proud of it.
