Ribtec 725m Diesel Rib For sale: Ribtec 7.25m Diesel Rib. Not pretty but solid. Engine: Mercruiser D-Tronic D4.2L 250hp. Engine had full rebuild a few years ago and hasn’t missed a beat since (receipts available). Hours unknown, but has probably done less than 100 hours since rebuild.
Hull: 2004 Ribtec 7.25m Tubes: Need replaced but still useable. Aft port tube has gone but now has zip insert bladder, all others hold air for a day. Fuel: Diesel 150l inbuilt tank - good for about 300km at 20-25 kts. Leg: Mercruiser Bravo One Diesel with 4 blade stainless steel prop (and spare) Trailer: Excellent Bramber 3000kg twin axle (new brake cables). Tows very well and has inbuilt waterproof led lights.
New spare wheel and winch strap. Upholstery: Needs replaced but is functional. Electronics: Raymarine Chartplotter, iCom DSC VHF. Navigation lights, internal deck lights, auto and manual bilge pumps, twin deck drain trunks. Batteries: Starter and leisure batteries with VSR separator and mains hook up charger.
Kicker: Mercury 9.9hp 2-Stroke long shaft, good runner, pumps plenty of water. Anchor: Rocna 4kg with 10m chain and long rope. Rib will do 35kts and not much less fully laden. Will happily cruise at 25 kts at 2250rpm doing 2km/ltr !! Hull will cope with pretty big seas and it’s mostly a dry ride.
This is not a project. I’ve been using it until recently and have had great trips to Mull, Coll and Tiree. It is priced as is and will need to be re-tubed at some point soon. (approx £7k - I’ve been quoted by Ferry Marine). It is also due an oil change, fuel filters are done.
Very slow leak at transom – might be bellows (full set of replacements included), might just be deck drain. Raymarine chartplotter all working well – depth reading not working – new transducer fitted- suspect connection.Various other spares and lightboard included. This is an honest appraisal.
