Here is a fantastic opportunity to own an outstanding MK1 Rigid Raider, dory designed and built by RTK, Originally designed as a Troop carrier/assault craft for the Royal Marines, Army, & UKSF. This craft came into service in 1972 and were heavily relied upon during the Liberation of the Falkland Islands in 1982. These vessels are designed to carry small groups of Commandos and their stores for raiding purposes. It’s carrying capacity in a temperate, climate is 6 troops plus 200 lbs of stores, or in artic conditions 5 troops and 200 lbs of stores.This one has particular provenance previously being in service, and a veteran of the Thames Fire and Rescue Service.

Prior to coming into my possession 3 years ago as a project “costing £1700.00”, this strong and Seaworthy craft has only ever been used as a rescue vessel and family boat, for days out on the water. “Therefore it’s never been dropped by parachute out of a C130 Hercules or dropped from a Chinook helicopter”.This Raider has provided me and my family with years of confident, trouble free boating.
