Rydgeway Marine Prelude - Sailing Yacht Boat (19') On Trailer - Bilge Keel

RED DWARF is a 19ft bilge keel sailing yacht designed by Ian Proctor and built by Ridgeway Marine. The yacht itself is in fairly good condition for its age (1974) with a GRP construction but will require new anti-fouling and the bilge keels may need checking. There is a list of other minor to-do jobs at the end of the post before sailing. The cabin is generous for the size of the boat; comprising 4 full sized berths, space for a chemical toilet and a small galley area with a sink, food store and space for a 2 burner hob. Red Dwarf is currently out of the water sitting on a custom trailer that is included in the sale and has three brand new wheels and tyres at a cost of about £150. The old wheels can be include if wanted. However, all the wheel bearings have play and need replacing. Therefore the buyer will need a way of transporting the boat without the current trailer (eg a flatbead trailer).
A while back I had an expert check it over and the list of jobs (excluding the trailer) at the time were:Shroud Turnbuckle (starboard) requires new pinAll Turnbuckle pins need new S/S pins (10 off)Overhaul rudderCheck log and repair if required (and make an emergency plug!)Check bilge keelReplace hose on water outlet on water line.
