Bereavement sale. “Sprit” 27ft Yacht Hi, here is for sale a Sabre 27 Bilge (twin) Keel shallow draft (only 3 feet) Yacht. Being a bereavement sale there are many extras which will all come with the yacht, making a perfect package ready to sail away. I am Selling on behalf of the family. My friend has owned this yacht for approximately 10 years.
The boat was always maintained and sailed regularly up to his recent passing. Many a great time sailing this yacht locally and even cross the channel to France. It sail’s beautifully, very stable, well built and is a well equiped boat, with encapsulated keels (so no keel bolts to worry about). Even in rough weather, I can confirm she is still a secure boat to be sailing in with a predictable feel at the helm. The cockpit is nice and large for the size of boat, which can sleep up to 6 persons inside. There is also a cockpit tent that comes with her.
All lines are rigged aft for single handed sailing, with a Crusader sail stack pack and 2 x Lewmar self tailing winches. I have been to the yacht and given her a quick jet wash, started the engine (which fired up first time after sitting for a while during the lockdown) and had a good look round. As far as I am aware the yacht only needs a little TLC, a good clean, some paint and varnish to make perfect. The engine is strong reliable starts first time and runs smooth. The sails, mast boom, roller furling system and rigging are in good shape.
The foresail was replaced for a 130% not to long ago and there is also a spinnaker (hardly used) as well as the original foresail (as a spare) that comes with the yacht. Summary of Yacht: 1980 (will check to confirm year built) Sabre 27 – (one of the last ones of 400 built) Volvo Penta 20 diesel engine – Works beautifully, last service unknown. Stowe: wind strength/ direction and depth meters. All sails still crispy and in good condition. 2 x self tailing winches & 2 normal winches VHF Radio: Navman 7100 Chart plotter: Garmin GPS map 451s Digital Yacht AIT1000 Class B transponder with Garmin GPS72 (receiver only) Plastimo Neptune 2500 cooker / grill Aiwa FM stereo Windlass and Bruce Anchor Rear bathing platform.Bilge pumpinboard fresh water tankRadar Reflector Complete with the following all included in the asking price.
Raymarine ST2000+ auto tiller Spinnaker sail and pole Folding Bimini Fire extinguishers Cockpit tent Cockpit cushions All Lines, fenders, warps etc. Bruce anchor 3 person inflatable dinghy (excellent condition) & Tohatsu 3.5 outboard (needs service) 2 x gas bottles A couple of inflatable lifejackets (use at own risk) Secondary Danforth anchor External Cockpit table. Many other small sundry spares / fishing bits etc. The Sabre Yacht sleeps 6 : 2 x doubles in forepeak and saloon + 2 x quarter berths. I believe it was last Antifouled in June 2019.
In my opinion, the yacht is seaworthy and ready to go however any inspection is always welcomed. There is a pump action toilet onboard, however, the inlet seacock seems jammed (due to lack of use, will need attention). All the other seacock’s are fine. The yacht is correctly SSR registered. Full receipt will be given upon sale.
Currently the boat is on a tidal mooring at Conyer in Kent.
