Sailfish 18 And "roller Coaster" Type Trailer

A lovely, easily-handled trailer / sailer from the late seventies or early eighties. She is in very good condition for the year, clean and tidy. Jaye comes fully equipped with every thing needed to go sailing on day of purchase. The only things you need to add are, a tow vehicle (the combo weighs about 1.3 tonnes) and life jackets. The bunk cushions are good and double as cockpit seats when needed.

The mast is non-standard with a masthead rig and genoa instead of the normal fractional rig and jib. This makes her a little faster than a conventional Sailfish but just a little more twitchy. However included in the price is a furling stay which will take her back to standard, but I do not have a sail for it. The mainsail is a little baggy due to it's age but is sound, as is the Genoa. The boom is fitted with roller reefing which makes her a very easy and pleasant single hander.

There is even a spinnaker pole to hold the Genoa out when going downwind. The trailer is of unknown manufacture and date but is sound and moreover was fitted with a new ALKO axle including hubs and brakes in 2014 and has only done about 4 or 5 hundred miles since and never been in salt water. The hitch brake linkage is sound but the handbrake lever needs overhauling. The wheels and tyres are sound and legal with plenty of tread. I can deliver, if required, for a reasonable amount.
