Categorised as a trailer sailer because it can be easily loaded onto a trailer and tailered to a another boating area. The boat is being sold as spares or repairs because it has been sitting for a while so we are unsure whether it is ready for sailing. It should be out on the water so needs someone new to restore and enjoy her as we do not have time to do this.

The Sailfish 18 is a popular sail boat because it handles like a dingy but has an enclosed cabin and comfy cockpit to sail from. The Sailfish 18 is a great size boat to fit on a trailer which means the boat can be trailed to an area and then be used to cruise around the area whilst eating and sleeping on the boat due to its enclosed cabin. The Sailfish's enclosed cabin is perfect for dining, sleeping and keeping out of the elements whilst the 3 large windows give a near panoramic view from inside the cabin. From inside the cabin, under the table, the retractable keel is located. This means that the boat is easy to ready for being trailed.

The cockpit seats, on the outside of vessel, can also be used as extra berths if required and is a great place for sailing the boat with plenty of view of the surrounding area. The boat has two sails for means of wind propulsion which are both included. The Sailfish can also be powered by a small 5hp outboard if you run out of wind although there is no outboard included. There maybe some small holes in the sails. The rudder is not fitted to the boat but is included and could do with some light restoration as the lacquer has peeled off.

The boat also has a manual pump located at the rear of the cockpit if required and has drains hole located around the cockpit. There are also a few ropes and buoys included with the boat which can be seen in the pictures. As the boat has been sitting for a number of years, it does have some water in it and if it rains, it may gain more water. The trailer that is included with the boat is sold as spares and repairs because it has not been used on the road in 4 years, the wheels do rotate though. The tyre has been replaced on the drivers side as the old one was perishing.

Since the trailer is being sold as spares and repairs it is suggested that it is collected on a trailer. It is also unknown if any of the lights work on the trailer. It is also worth noting that the trailer was also not designed for this boat but has been used to successfully trailer the boat from its mooring site to our site.
