Absolute bargain! Clean and tidy yacht in a ready to sail away condition. Perfect for the summer holidays. This is the Sailfish 25, big sister to the well known Sailfish 18 sailboat in practical boat owner magazine. Fun, safe and seaworthy boat, and also very cheap to run.

We have had many weekends away and enjoyed exploring the harbours and creeks of the Solent with her. We are selling because of illness in the family and we now live much further away. This is a fantastic boat, an absolute bargain and not one of the usual classifieds board project boats. I looked for nearly 2 years before finding this boat and saw some awful ones, be assured this boat is in good condition. It is an ideal size boat.

Many smaller ones are just cramped and bigger ones are heavy and expensive. This one fits that great size where it has the big boat feel and security, with the small boat fun and price. She also is more than capable when it's windy with a couple of reefs in.

We, and the previous owner, have done much upgrading and maintenance to her. As with all boats there are always small jobs still to do: Here is my job list for the season. She will need a seasonal antifoul. (we think coppercoat is the probably the most suitable long term, but we just scrub her off before a sailing trip). Wash boards (2 sets) need an external varnish/paint (we were going to get some of those tinted ones made).

Tiller/rudder needs a varnish/service. The nav lights need replacing (£10 each on classifieds board new. We've always day sailed so never needed them. We have battery powered ones onboard should they be needed. The little fuse board could do with changing (about £15).

A couple of deck fittings need to be resealed. The strings on the lazyjacks/stackpack need to be changed, I think its 4 or 5mm line. The upholstery, whilst it's not everyone's taste is clean and functional if a little bright! We were going to have some covers made. So there's some little pottering jobs to do for the season but she is NOT a project.

The boat is in excellent condition with all the major work already done. Life circumstance at the moment is making selling her the most pragmatic choice for us. This is not easy as we intended to keep her long term. It is a real wrench to sell after all the time, money and effort expended but also all of the great memories and fun. Absolute bargain!
