Description:
It is with great sadness that I have my 22ft, 4 berth sailing yacht for sale. 1 double, 2 singles) She is very light inside, comfy and modern with all original gel work. She has been very well looked after. History: She was built in 1991 at Neyland Marina (where she is currently berthed). I currently pay £159 per month for moorings in the upper basin of Neyland (even when the tide is low her low draft make her easy to sail out up the river to the sea). She has had many wonderful trips including to Edinborough and back home again. She is an ideal first boat with a bildge keel (so she can dry out and not tip over), she also has a very low draft of only 0.8 meters (again, ideal if you are a learner to reading depth charts). She is set up for single handed sail with jib sheets set up in cockpit. She has a modern automatic (and manual) bildge pump. She comes with an 8hp, 2 stroke, outboard engine (recently serviced).Long shaft Sloop rig aluminium Slab reefing main Main sail and cover Furling Jib sail Warps and fenders Boat hook Jib sheet winches Boarding ladder Electric and manual bildge pump Sink with fresh water pump Seperate heads with Jabasco marine toilet New bathroom accessories: Chrome Toilet roll holder Chrome Towel holder Chrome Shelf Black hand wash set Instruments: Garmin GPS MAPS chartplotter Lawrence elite fishfinder B&G network speed B&G network depth repeater (new 2021) Swiftech VHF GPS Boat tracker (instant text msg with unauthorised boat travel/movement and 24/7 access to boat location) Last 6 months has had the following upgrades: 8 man emergency life raft with bracket (£900) Horseshoe bouy with 2 lights 3 brand new life jackets Brand new Led ocean flares Brand new diesel heater 2x brand new 12v leisure batteries Brand new 150 watt solar panel £700 spent on custom made marine grade bracket for solar panel Brand new Depth repeater Outdoor solar lights Purple leds lights around cockpit Electric hook up Brand new mini oven Gas stove Full set of cooking pots Full 4 person plate set in black 6 set black mugs Full cutlery set LOA: 22ft (6.71meters) Beam: 8.0ft (2.44m) Draft: 2.82" (0.86m) Berth: 4 Cabins: 2 Heads: 1 Reason for sale: At my young age of 36 (October 2020) i was so proud when i bought my first boat. My uncle (an ex Navel, marine engineer and sail boat owner for many years) assisted me for many months looking for the right boat but all those within my budget needed so much work. When we found this we hit the jackpot and he couldn't believe how well she had been looked after so he took her for a sail and we snapped her up. It was our intention for him to sail the boat from Neyland to uphill, weson super mare (where i live) this summer while teaching me how to sail. I have updated everything mentioned above and began to add my own personal touch to it for my family , nlot only in preparation for this but to also sail her to France.Sadly he recently lost his battle with c-19 and i can not bring myself to learn to sail without him. As heart breaking as this is, I would rather see her go to a good home than me continue to pay for mooring fees on a boat (300miles round trip away) that i cannot sail or wish to learn any time soon. She will come as a complete, ready to sail package including the 8 man life raft. I only bought this as i have children and being (what was meant to be) new sailor its a reflection on my skills as oppsed to the boat.
