Description This ETAP 22, built in 1979, is a Belgian design and build, and one of the rare, truly transportable yachts in its class. Easy to sail this lift keel yacht has accommodation for 4 people in an open plan layout. There is a galley with sink and 2 burner gas hob, chart table, V berth double and 2 single berths. Currently moored at Peterhead Marina for any inspection or trial. Powered by an 8hp Yamaha outboard mounted in a well.
Auxiliary Mariner 4hp outboard is not included, but is available by separate negotiation. Regular maintenance carried out, with keel inspection and painting last year (photos available). Chart table may be used inside, or mounted outside for meals, drinks, etc. Mast easily lowered for transporting. Construction GRP hull and deck mouldings forming a double skin with the cavity filled by closed cell foam.
This method of construction provides inherent buoyancy for safety, stiffness that aids sailing performance and insulation which helps keep the interior more comfortable with lower levels of condensation and noise. Single deck guard wire and non-slip decking for security. Transom hung rudder, lift keel with internal keel box. Hull will need fresh scraping and antifouling, otherwise ready to sail. Mechanicals The vessel is powered by a Yamaha 8hp 2 stroke outboard mounted in a central well.
The fuel tank and battery are located in the exterior cockpit lockers. The battery can charged by the Yamaha outboard. Sails and Rigging Fractional rigged sloop with deck stepped alloy mast and spars. Mast foot in a tabernacle for easy raising and lowering and which also houses the keel raising mechanism. Two jib sails and mainsail with sail coat and running rigging led aft to cockpit.
These sails are said to be in satisfactory condition. There is also a cruising chute included. Previous survey available, with many items repaired or replaced. Accommodation and layout The open plan interior layout provides accommodation for 4 adults with a double V berth with storage under in the bow and 2 single settee / quarter berths. The keel box makes a natural break between the V berth and the rest of the cabin.
Just forward of the keel box is a sea toilet (requires new seals) covered by the V berth. Beside the keel box to port is the galley with sink, 2 burner gas hob and storage with the fresh water supply beneath. Beneath the cockpit sole there is plenty of room for storage.
