This is a real bargain boat, come down and have a look at her. I am very sorry to be selling Helena. Last year I only managed 4 days sailing and I am very short of time at the moment. Therefore someone is going to get a lovely boat with loads of extras at a great price. I have fixed and renewed everything that needed doing since I have had her.
You can ask me anything you want about her and she is very nearly ready to go. Please don't waste my time with silly offers, I am not going to give her away, but I will consider serious buyers and will take a sensible offer.Helena is a lovely boat and ideal for someone looking to learn or gain more experience with boat handling. If you are experienced she is a low-cost way of getting afloat and enjoying all the wonderful things sailing has to offer. We have had many days of blissful sailing with Helena both up and down the river Dart as well as further afield along the south coast. She is currently ashore for the winter and is located by the river Dart. Contact me direct to arrange to see her.
More photos and videos of the boat are available on her face book page Westerly Warwick. I posted regularly up till last year.Helena is a 21 foot Westerly Warwick built in the early 1970's. She is 2 foot 8 inches in the draft and a bilge keel. She has everything you need to get going straight away. Mooring the boat on the Dart will not be a problem either, her current mooring is available the cost last year was £500 and river dues we about £70.· The engine is a Yanmar Gem 1, 10hp inboard diesel engine serviced regularly every 20-30 hours since 2010, new in 2007.
It is a great engine. Fuel tank is full (25 litres) and consumption is normally approximately 2 litres per hour. The engine is currently winter ready with fresh water and anti-freeze. The boat was not sailed 2008-2009 seasons before I bought her, so the engine is low hours and in very good working order. · Auto bilge pump.· Manual Bilge pump,· New Mail sail is battened main with sail cover.
