Sailing Yacht Mirage 28 Bilge Keels

Mirage 28 Yacht - Foxtrot V Repainted professionally 2017. Comfortable cruising yacht.Will consider offers Blue fibre glass hull, with black anodised mast. A pretty boat, dark blue & white, with black anodised mast. Very strong seaworthy boat and very easy to handle and manoeuvre. Nominally 5 berth, but 3 or 4 berth more comfortable.

Built in 1980, by Thames Marine. Length overall 28’ 3”, Waterline 22’, Beam 9’ 2”, Draft 3’ 6”. Name: Foxtrot V. Small Ships Register 00692. Most were built for the flotilla trade, but she has been privately owned since new.

Stored ashore every winter. Have owned & loved her for 14 years. Currently on swinging mooring at Hayling Island Sailing Club Plus - Inflatable Dinghy & outboard: Blue wind - 11’ x 5’ with rigid wooden floor, inflatable keel. Yamaha 4 HP, 4 stroke out board, 6 years old, very reliable (Fibre glass cowling tatty, but serviceable). Could to help sail to new location with new owner.

New Beta 14HP Diesel engine, installed in 2012, 3 bladed propeller (plus spare), 45 litre stainless steel fuel tank. Full suite of sails: Main, Genoa, Jib (plus spare), Storm Jib and Cruising chute (with snuffer). Accomodation Forecabin: two V shaped berths with infill to form a double berth. Saloon: 2 good settee berths, plus fifth berth accessed under chart table (currently used as store for sails and other equipment). Fixed Equipment includes: VHF fixed radio (installed July 2015) – Standard Horizon Eclipse DSC +.

NASA Clipper depth gauge, replaced 2016. Electric automatic bilge pump Manual bilge pump Plastimo Compass Brass clock & barometer. Chart table, with storage for charts & navigation equipment. Bruce 10Kg anchor with 10m chain and 40 metre warp, plus Danfoth kedge with warp. 100 litre fresh water storage tank.

Heads: Jabasco sea toilet, wash basin with hand pump tap and storage. (New basin & tap/pump installed March 2015) Galley: 2 ring gas cooker with grill & oven (Plastimo Atlantic), stainless steel sink, fitted cool locker, storage lockers, crockery rack, hangings for teapot, mugs and tea-towel, etc. Plus spice rack and storage for glasses in saloon area. Portable equipment includes: 5 fenders. Boat hook.

Mains cable and multi socket for using shore power. Deck brushes and cleaning equipment. All necessary mooring lines, sheets and warps plus spares. Pans, cutlery, crockery, glasses etc. Happy to answer any questions and maybe possible to meet potential customers for viewing.
