Sailing Yacht Nicholson 27

For sale our Nicholson 27 lovely spacious yacht for her size and sails very well.She is currently on a pontoon mooring in the river Crouch but will be lifted onto hardstanding next week, so your surveyor and the buyer can have easy access without cranage fees etc.Designed by Peter Milner one of our great designers, built by Camper and Nicholson ltd., a LOA. 27.3 ft, LWL. 23.4 ft, BEAM 9.8 ft, DRAFT 3.2 ft, DISPLACEMENT 2923 kgs., BALLAST 1210 kgs, CONSTRUCTION G.R.P.She has a transom hung rudder, Painted non-slip decks, Self draining cockpit. She is a bermudian masthead sloop with silver anodised spars and spinnaker pole. 2 Lewmar 16 2 speed sheet winches and 2 Lewmar 6 halyard winches 1 on mast and 1 on coachroof.All running rigging replaced 2017 along with the forestay and the genoa furling gear.

She has a roller reefing genoa (suffolk sails 2012) on new furling gear, a slab reefing main (Suffolk sails 2015) with a stack pack and a cruising chute with snuffer all in very good condition. A previous owner had rigged a self tacking blade jib (hyde sails) but I have never rigged it but the boom etc is on the boat if you wish to reinstate it.She has a reliable and easy starting Volvo Penta MD7A inboard diesel on a sail drive (gator replaced 2014) 41 ltr fuel tank (uses approx 1 gall for 4 hrs at 4kts) The water seacow and strainer was replaced in 2014. 2 off 12v 85ah batteries (2014) topped up by a 20w solar panel. 240 shore power circuits.She has 6 adult and 1 child berth in 2 cabins. A V berth double, 2 singles, a large single which can convert to a double and a childs berth.

A drop leaf table to which reaches both settees and fold against bulkhead for storage. Galley with Plastimo Coral gas stove 2 burners and grill, Flexible hoses replaced 2017 and stainless sink with pumped and filtered cold water. Full size chart table with electric panels over and storage beneath. Saloon has large amounts of storage in fact the yacht does. Fitted cupboards for crockery and mugs which were supplied originally by Nicholsons just 1 mug missing.Heads compartment consists of Jabsco toilet, pump assembly replaced 2017, vanity unit opposite with pumped cold water, Hanging locker plus 3 others.

All behind a sliding door. Hatch over V berth with 110 ltr water tank plus storage under.Navigation equipment includes plastimo compass, Seavoice RT680 vhf radio with cockpit speaker, Garmin 556 chart plotter, Autohelm Wind speed and direction the direction is unreliable, Autohelm depth both ST30. Autohelm 1000 tiller pilot, Also has a tiller tamer which is easier in the river or when mooring single handed, Barometer, Nav lights, and ball and cone hoists.Manual bilge pump operated from cockpit, Electric 12v bilge pump, Horseshoe lifebouy, Danbouy, Rader reflector, Stainless boarding ladder goes at least 3 feet under water, Stainless Pulpit and pushpit, Jackstays, Fire extinguishers , Fire blanket.20 kgs Anchors and chain, Sprayhood, Cockpit cushions, warps and fenders.She was originally coming out to have the one seacock I did not replace in 2017 done, As all the others were replaced with new try hulls except the 2 blakes cocks which were checked greased and refitted. As you can see I thought that she would see me out but I have to stop sailing sooner than thought so she has to go. This last summer and winter we have had some great sailing in her in winds to 30kts and she was great fun.

She was last surveyed in November 2016 and all recommendations done. She is a well founded yacht with young good sails.
