Salter Brothers Day Boat And Trailer Project

13ft Salter brothers Day launch Built in the 1960's and was used as a hire boat on the thames, it utilises an inboard Norton Villiers 150cc single cylinder engine and a Watermota variable pitch propeller system. There is also an inboard fuel tank but this is not currently plumbed to the engine. As you can see from the pictures the boat needs some TLC and would make a great summer project, it is water tight but again as can be seen in the pictures some of the repairs to the deck/hull are very much function over form. I have had the engine fired but, it does not run at the moment, but interestingly the bolt pattern for the propeller system means, you could utilise an electric motor or a diesel engine from a generator with a small amount of work this was the route i was going to go down. The Toneau cover is great quality and can be unzipped to allow you access without having to remove the entire cover.

Now to the trailer this is in great condition, and tows well and as you can see it can cater for a much larger craft, the trailer is 18ft/5.5m. This little boat has a lot of potential with not much work, but alas i have to many projects and not enough time, so must pass it on to somebody else. Any questions please ask and thanks for looking.
