Sea Master Kestrel 22 Bilge Keel Yacht

Seabear is a 1968 Sea Master Kestrel 22 bilge keel yacht. She has undergone extensive refurbishment over the past 5 years and is in good seaworthy condition. SeaBear is currently moored at Lympstone on the exe and is used regulary. She has recently completed a passage to Dittisham on the Dart in good time and will provide plenty of further adventures for her new owner.In the last 5 years she has received many upgrades inlcuding the following:- Keels removed and rebedded with new keels bolts December 2019- Installation of refurbished Bukh DV10 (10hp) engine- New stainless steel 25mm propshaft, new cutlass bearing and new propellor (correctly sized for DV10)- New wet exhaust system inlcuding water trap, muffler and gooseneck (all Vetus 45mm components)- New NASA clipper wind, depth and log instruments.- New 110AH leisure battery in June 2022- New wooden sliding hatch- Deck below mast step replaced and strengthened March 2022Interior: Seabear has a cosy wooden interior with recently recovered cushions. She can sleep 3 adults (2 in the V berth) and one in the main cabin.
There is a head with a fully functioning Baby Blake sea toilet with recently changed Blakes seacocks. Opposite the head is a sink area with electric tap fed from 5 gallon freshwater tank, and overboard drain (closeable with valve). The galley comprises of a gas Tilley 2 burner stove with grill and pan holders. The sealed gas locker has room for 3 coleman 500 type gas bottles and has an overboard drain. Plenty of storage cabinets/alcoves and nets present throughout.
Note: tide clock not included in sale.Electronics: Completely rewired in 2017. New LED lights throughout: 2 in main cabin, 1 in head and one in forward cabin. Plenty of storage cabinets/alcoves and nets present throughout. Main power harness operates from 3 breaker switches which can combine both batteries for emergency engine starting. Batteries kept topped up by 50W textured Lensun solar panel on foredeck.
Electronic Whale bilge pump and float switch operated from switch - can be set to manual or automatic. Icom DSC VHF (2018) with GPS antenna. Recently installed autotiller brackets and plug; however, autotiller unit not included in sale. Navigation and steaming lights all LED.Engine: Refurbished Bukh DV10 installed 2017 with recently added VDO gauges for temperature, oil pressure and RPM. Fuel filters changed June 2022.
25L copper diesel tank located aft with filler cap on aft deck. The engine very runs well and starts every time - can also be cranked by hand in an emergency.Sails: Roller furling jib with UV strip (2017) in good condition. Slab reefing on the main with new Barton reefing track fitted in 2020. Two mainsails included: one good used main with slab reefing. The other main is bagged but usable if required.Running rigging: All halyards and sheets in good condition.
Mainsheet and blocks replaced 2021 with Barton ball bearing size 3.SeaBear is reluctantly up for sale; however, a larger family means we are now in need of a larger boat. She is easy to sail and has been perfect for estuary and coastal sailing.
