Seahog Sealord Fast Fisher I am the 3rd owner of this boat and I knew the previous owners. Lots of work has already been done but it needs some TLC to finish. Reason for sale is too many other projects and not enough time to finish! BoatSeahog Sealord 17.5ft, I don`t know the build year but its in really good condition for its age. Fiberglass and gelcoat are really good with only some light gel cracking under the front windows.
The odd knock underneath but only what would be expected. Although the boat is old it hasn't had much use over the years. It was sat for 10 years before I got it and I've had it 6 years.Interior fully re foamed and re covered 2-3 years ago. New seats and backrests in the cabin, fiberglass repaired on main seats, lockable rear bench with lots of storage.Radio, navigation (GPS) & fish finder all power up but have not been tested.LED cabin lights, heater, USB plugs & 12v sockets. New fuel tank and new high capacity auto bilge pump.Battery is old but worksIt does have a main cover but it has shrunk and ripped. Only good as a template for a new one.Paddles and boat hook located on clips on side panelLots of new stainless steel fittingsEngineChrysler 90hp build year 1976.
The story with the engine is that it was manufactured for the US military and was shipped to Africa in a container full of engines, the container was unopened and contents remained unused. The Container was bought by a Marine dealer in Manchester and the engine was then bought by the previous owner. It was sat for 10 years before I got it and I've had it 6 years.Water Pump refurbished last year and new impellor installed.New Plugs just fittedThe engine starts and runs well and pumps water. Really it needs a full going over and mega service due to its age, oil, filters, belts, seals etc.TrailerSnipe trailer single axle brake back. Trailer is too small for the boat but the boat has been on this trailer since new so it does work!
The main frame of the trailer and the axle looks clean and the galvanising still looks good. The rear beam swinging arm will need some attention or replacing. It looks rusty but appears solid, it knocked around with a hammer at the end of the summer and it all appears solid.Hubs refurbished and bearings replaced a few years ago.Wheels and tyres were also new a few years ago although one has recently been sat flat. I do have a spare but will have to check its condition.
