1989 Sealine 305 Statesman Not really a project. Just needs a clean and a couple of bits of trim to be ready for the new season. Brand new V8 5.7 engines in 2017 (New - not reconditioned - crate motors direct from GM Factory).Full cover set (windscreen cover, fly bridge cover, rear cockpit cover)General good condition with Raymarine chart plotter, Fusion radio, Standard VHF DSC.Upholstery in good condition.Electric anchor winch (Lofrans)Built-in battery chargerMooring in Poole till end MarchReally nice boat that just needs a couple of jobs doing like making some curtains and a bit of finishing.Only selling as change in circumstances has unfortunately altered our plans. 1989 305 Statesmans are usually about £25-35k and this one with its new engines and good base condition would certainly be in the £26-28k mark. The cheapest I have seen on sale was a 1984 Statesman at £23k, but that had no bathing platform (walk through stern) and only one cabin. Obviously diesel engines are cheaper to run, but then it would be a £28-35k boat and a lot of the converted to diesel boats are slower. The days of diesel being much much cheaper have gone and now they are only about 20% cheaper to run, but when they go wrong they are 60-100% more expensive to repair! A new V8 petrol engine can be bought for £2.5-3k and parts are cheap, a diesel engine would be a lot more than that secondhand and the parts are a lot more expensive.

Please note that the change in circumstances does not mean desperation. I am afraid that I do not need a Ford Fiesta, I will not send it to Latvia and neither will I accept £10k cash and your mother in law in Part ex!
