As pictured and a real jewel in the crown, a good engine is essential on these boats and these are one of the best. A recent full service was carried out inc a full oil and filter change etc.. It runs on red diesel and is very very economical. We have built a lovely mooring with a gate and picket fencing surrounding and in the summer the farmer lets you drive up the field and park right outside the boat. This mooring has been negotiated with the Farmer who is a very nice man for the new owner to keep where it is (should they choose) and a 12 months transferable contract has now been paid in full as of 1st April 2017.The mooring fees a year are only £324 (no vat) which is a lot cheaper than most marinas. (You can of course just purchase the boat and take it to a Marina of your choice but I am unable to get a refund on the mooring as it has been paid for the 12 months.) Insurance for the boat is only £120 a year.I will leave the chairs and table at the mooring along with a small portable bbq and a very usefull Xlarge plastic storage unit. The decking area and fence last year was treated with a 10 year guarantee non slip stain (forest green) so should be maintenance free. Seamasters are classics and will hold their value extremely well. This is an ideal first time boat to buy as it was for us, they are easy to steer, sail and moor up.
Getting parts and repairing them is not a problem either, there is a mobile engineer who services the canal or a boat yard a few miles away that can carry any work you may require in and out of the canal and just up the road in Garstang is one of the Countries best stocked Chandleries. However there are no issues you need to worry about with this boat. We are only selling the boat due to a house move to Devon and regrettably we can't take it with otherwise we would happily keep it. PLEASE NOTE: This is a classified advert so there is no bidding or buy it now options. Potential buyers please message me through classifieds board or telephone during working hours 0phone to enquire and I will happily try and answer your questions or arrange a viewing.
The Boat is located in Catforth, Preston in Lancashire but due to the privacy of the gates and farm mooring viewing is by appointment only. Thank you - Jason
