Hi Silver Mist is up for sale, she has an overall length of 23’ with an 8’ Beam. She is an ideal boat for anyone thinking of taking a small charter trips out. She seats 4 anglers comfortably in her cabin along with the skipper. The usual items you would find on a boat she has for example GPS, Fish finder, ship to shore radio, compass, lights, cover, lockable cabin door, huge fuel tank over 100 litre capacity. She also has a toilet, two bait wells at stern with pumped sea water (for the freshest of bait), plenty of storage both in the cabin and on the deck.
I have a mariner 75hp on her (that is currently not working) but the variations are endless or you could change to an inboard. With the 75hp we manage to 23 knots. She has plenty of room on the deck along with seating and is very buoyant, she was originally built with the commercial market in mind. She sits when out of season on a four wheeled trailer, which is completely up together with greasing ect and has just had new wheels & tyres, the bearing have been completely replaced (all 4 @ over £1200) and haven't seen salt water since so are very much as new as can be. This is an ideal boat for someone who may be looking to take out small charter trips, she is a fast and very buoyant boat, with as you can see plenty of room for fishing and tackle with the option of changing the engine if you want to.
We have always found her to be fast enough to get us out of trouble with a very responsive engine; she really is a beautiful boat. Her hull is in sound condition with no repairs. So down to condition, well i haven't used her for a while, the engine as i say is an old 2 stroke but it doesn't work and i dont know enough about engines to fix it, i was going to buy a new one but never got around to it. The paint on the floor could do with rubbing down and replacing, 1 of the bait lids has broken in 2 pieces but really easy fix, she needs a bloody good t cut and polish, but with 2 businesses to run i just haven't had time. Please don’t expect a new boat though she does have the odd chip and scratch but nothing major what so ever in my opinion.
Inspection is welcomed and recommended. We have a very large fuel tank on board which holds in excess of a 100 litres and two bait boxes on the stern both of which have running water at the touch of a button, also in the cabin there is a flushable toilet that is in a cupboard, 2 two seated benches and captains chair, plenty of storage under seats and in the bow of the boat. Switches for the lights, bait boxes, windscreen wiper and compass are on the panel in front of the captain and a separate switch for both batteries is located behind the captain on the wall. The cabin has a lockable door with double glazed window in it. The deck area consists of 2 seats again with storage in them and a box in the middle which is the fuel tank. The boat comes with a cover that has had a couple of small repairs but still has lots of life in it yetThe Seca 6000 is rated to carry outboards from 40hp to 125hp, with a recommended range of 60hp to 90hp.
She can also be fitted with a 130hp – 175hp inboard mercruiser petrol engine or 60hp -130hp diesel. Speed depending on engine options selected is between 15 – 40 knots. The boat can carry up to six people and the approximate weight is 750kgs. The tale of the tape measure puts it at 19ft 10 inches with a freeboard at the stern which measure another 32 inches, ideal for angling and with a cockpit giving 60sq ft of working area, there’s plenty of room for tackle and all the running boat gear. The boat draft is 17 inches this includes the engine.
Four anglers can easily fit in the cabin, which has a good all round visibility, with the windows having been recently replaced with tinted ones. The hull has been hand laid to the exact standards of the commercial market and as Secas once quoted “All this adds up to an incredible amount of space in a small, fast seaworthy boat”. Buoyancy has been installed in the hull sides and a bow roller, bollard and two cleats have also been fitted along with pole railing around the complete bow of the boat and side rails on port and starboard of the boat, for added safety. The foredeck has an anchor locker, there’s pvc fendering all round and the cockpit has a non slip floor. If you’ve got your eye’s peeled for a boat which has been designed to give the angler the best possible features that also has qualities to make it easily transportable, then look no further.
She is cash on collection only, obviously comes with working trailer board and boat strap for towing, if your interested i would suggest you come and look at her. She does need a clean, also she was rubbed down and anti fouled but again she hasn't seen water since, so suspect she could just be re anti fouled, i think i used a top performance one for over 20 knots. Thank you for reading any questions i will try and answer, not into swaps thanks and i have no idea what's wrong with the engine.
