* I've added a video on You Tube - search for Chum Bucket Shetland and you'll see her motoring along beautifully. I am selling my beloved Chum Bucket! She's a Shetland 570 (the Shetland boat with the amazing cathedral hull, which is so stable on the water), with a very powerful and quiet 115hp Mercury Optimax engine. I bought the Chum Bucket about 8 years ago and have done the following work:- a then brand new Mercury Optimax engine (costing £8000)- professionally fitted new windows, rubber seals and new houdini hatch- a professionally fitted new floor and bouyancy- a professionally fitted, custom moulded windscreen cuddy, which is an amazing job! - a VHF radio- a chart plotter and fish finder, with depth, speed readings, etc- a NASA battery monitor- a 12v phone charger- an automatic bilge pump, which always pumps out rainwater when I'm not about- navigation lights- a spot light- high deck lights, floor deck lights and internal lights- a window wiper- an engine monitor- two powerful leisure batteries- a new aux engine bracket I totally love this boat and have had so much fun.
She's exceptionally stable on the sea, with no roll (unlike displacement hulls). Up to four can comfortably fish and it's the easiest thing to manage alone. I have to move the boat on, though, because I've got a new one! The trailer is not for sale. I need it for the other boat.
:)I can maybe take the boat to you if you're in Ireland somewhere! (If pushed, though, I might consider selling the trailer too) If you would like more photographs, let me know and I'll email or text some to you. If you would like to see the boat, let me know. She's now in my driveway in County Armagh.
