Shetland Yawl

Classic yawl, 17' long, built in Shetland around 1960. Larch clinker on oak ribs. Fitted with a dipping lugsail. Yanmar 1GM10 inboard diesel engine. Has been barn stored for the last 2 years pending a repaint and minor repairs, but second wooden boat in restoration meant no progress has been made.

I will sell as she is, complete with an unbraked trailer, or if no takers, then I shall continue the work on her. Outstanding tasks:- Replace 2 sections of gunwale- Engine box cover requires new edging (beading)- Re-paint inside and out- Service and remount engineThe photographs show her in the present condition, and also when newly painted a few years back.The engine was working when removed, but has not been run since. I have owned and enjoyed maintaining and sailing her for the last 10 years. Sold as seen, inspection recommended before purchase. Purchaser to collect, or can be delivered at an additional cost.
