Shipmate Senior Cruiser

An excellent 16 foot cruising boat for sale.Shipmate Senior Trailer Sailer. Currently near Chichester, West Sussex on trailer. Can be viewed at boatyard - please contact me to arrange. Built early 1980s by Seabourne Yacht Company. This is a heavier build than the earlier models.

It is a beautiful boat but I am reluctantly selling due to a change in personal circumstances. Wt : 970 1bs (440kg) Length : 16 ft 3” ( 4.95m) Beam : 6 ft 3” ( 1.91 m) Draft : 10” or 2’9” with plate down. Very Easy and safe to raise and lower the mast due to substantial S/S tabernacle. Novel pivoted pulpit can be used to help steady mast when raising/lowering.Very substantial and safe (aft) pushpit.Bunk cushions comfortable. The boat sleeps 2 adults and one child in comfort.

Expansive internal layout for a boat of this convenient size. Useful port side cooking space. Handy sized cockpit could take four adults. Substantial stern locker could take a small outboard motor. Aluminium mast and boom.
