They say a picture speaks a thousand words check out the video here!!! Https://youtu.be/7-14GMw9rLE Video of various pics from the 10 year restoration some in low reshttps://youtu.be/sC2NWNIikv8 ENGINE:A raspy period Ford 1600cc x-flow recently given some love, fresh paint and a polished rocker cover. The engine internals are in good mechanical order, paired with correctly jetted twin Webber 40 DCOE carbs with trumpets on a custom made long manifold, these are fed by a Facet electronic fuel pump, all hoses are Nautilus Fuel Master 5/16, The ignition is a fully electronic system, Accuspark distributor, Accuspark sport coil with 8mm silicone leads and Accuspark plugs.Control is via a brand new Teleflex sub zero cable, fully operational choke also with new cable. The engine runs a reduced capacity sump and unlike the original marinised versions of the x-flow we have converted this to run a heat exchanger water system, where the engine runs a closed pressurised water system with coolant and is passively cooled by sea water through a Bowman heat exchanger we have fitted a brass bayonet style fitting to the intake hose so the boat can be run of a hose. Many parts are brand new or custom made. The exhaust is a short straight through water injected 2.5” stainless system again designed and made by us which isn't to loud but makes a lovely burble at idle and a great raspy classic engine sound at speed. JET DRIVE:The original PP Jet was fully overhauled with new phosphor bronze bushes and powder coated castings, steering controls are via a Teleflex push pull steering cable, bucket control Teleflex sub zero cable. HULL:1970s Simms Super V completely stripped, hull and topsides repainted in super hard white enamel paint, the deck is painted in a classic bright red.Engine bay has had new bearers and fresh grey flowcoat.Solid Teak engine bay rear deck, double bay doors fitted with chrome fixtures.Rear bench again in Teak with a vertically planked bulkhead with Sikaflex joints.Up front there is a pair of comfy clubman bucket seats on sliding runners mounted on top a marine grade black carpet, period fablon dash, retro gauges and wooden sports steering wheel, all the side panels have been reupholstered to top this space off.We have made a new screen for this from 3mm acrylic adjusting slightly the profile and improving the sporty lines of the deck. The fuel tank holds around 25 litres and was re made buy us in stainless steel with added baffles to stop slosh this is vented again via nautilus fuel master hose with a non return valve filling is via a chrome filler on the port of the stern.

We then returned for a second run knowing everything was spot on this time at the lovely Hope Cove where there is no speed restrictions where our in house test pilot Darren a Seasoned boat racer had a proper blast which was captured by the drone video the boat went amazingly well i think il let the video do the talking here, top speed recorded was 41 mph on GPS with driver drone pilot a full tank of fuel and all the drone gear, she handles amazingly and is very capable. Darrens comments “its great fun to drive even in the chop, it's a capable, nippy and easy to handle craft with great retro looks a true grin factor of 11”
