Snapdragon 21

CNICUS JOANNA 21ft Snapdragon first registered in 1969 and still going strong. I have most of the paperwork from the years registration to go with the yacht. She is exactly as manufactured with the exception of a new tabernacle which I had made and fitted last year (see photo). She is such an easy yacht to handle and really sea worthy, and is powed by a 5hp Honda Outboard 4 stroke. The sails are in good condition with an unused reefing jib.I lived on board last Summer and early Autumn in Watermouth Cove, North Devon.

The mooring would be available this season if you wished. Also a Club Membership gives you use of the showers, toilets etc as well as use of the club kitchen and Bar.Cnicus is in need of some little work as all yachts this age seem to need - bad bits first. The Fibreglass engine housing cover needs the hinges replacing ang re-fibreglassing. The timber front to the Engine cover needs renewing (plywood) and I might be able to do that before it goes. Both locker covers need replacing and these have been made and are ready to go on and will do them shortly.

Some headlining needs replacing and again I will do this before she goes. The roller reefing foil is slightly bent and would need straightening. I need to renew the vhf cable that runs up through the mast so will need to drop the mast to do this. The cushions are tired but worked fine for me last year. She is supposed to be a 4 person yacht but in all honesty 2 Adults and possibly 2 children would be enough.

The 2 ring gas burner and grill works perfectly and there is a spare full bottle of gas. The sink is in good working order. All the running rigging will need renewing this coming season. There is a PortaPotti loo, a 50 watt solar panel which keeps the heavy duty battery well supplied. A depth guage/fish finder but no speed log as just pottered about.

New fire blanket and fire extinguisher. It also has an electric coolbox which worked fine as a fridge last summerIf there is anything that you would like to know please ask.
